Gone for a bit...

I have been on a bit of a vacation/ I went down to Texas for the last few days. I had a good time. I got to see the San Antiono zoo so now I can check that off my list of places to go :) I know its now quite Christmas yet but we also went and looked at some Christmas lights that a town put up on their lake. It was very pretty and the weather was really nice.

Amazing.......

I know I usually write about fun stuff but today I will not be putting something like that in this space. Today we went to the funeral of a classmate of Stevens that we also happen to be friends with the family since he was in kindergarten. He had just turned 19 in June and decided life was too much for him. The amazing thing to me about this was at the funeral all the classmates that showed up to support him and the family. There were about 70+ college kids at the funeral not counting the others at the visitation. One of them even spoke representing the others that were there. Kids came from all over just for the funeral and had to get back to school today. Amazing to me.

I know that in my class, in my day, this would not have happened especially being 2 years out of high school. I talked about it with Steven today and I think its because of facebook and myspace.
That keeps all the kids involved with each other. Very good for myspace and facebook huh?

Rest in Peace Joey
You were amazing!

Day at the Movies

We saw this movie at and very comfy theater we haven't been to before. They even had a Star Bucks--how awesome was that. But expensive--yes it was a bit but in the theater there was huge seats and plenty of leg room ( I couldn't even touch the back of the chair in front of me if I stuck my leg out) and every was seated so you could see. Now what movie did we see???
Madagascar 2: Escape to Africia

C-c-cold Weather

Well On Sat there were flurries and it was freezing out--there was 15-20 mph wind with 32 deg. temp. So for the soccer game it was terribly cold to sit out there for 2 1/2 hours. There was double overtime and the team we were rooting for ended up losing in a shootout. It was unfortunate and by then our fingers felt like they were frostbitten. It seemed to take 1/2 of the ride home to warm back up!

A day of white stuff...

Well we got it today--not really got it but it has been sleeting for most of the day. So I guess I shouldn't have put that picture up a couple days ago and maybe that wouldn't have happened huh? I think its supposed to be like this tomorrow also and we have a college visit with an outdoor soccer game to watch--do you think they will take offense if we watch it from the car??

Its here....Its here

Well it finally arrived....what you say??? our other recliner! Yay right? We thought so til we opened it. It has been a bit since we ordered it ...only 6 months...so we were wondering if it was the right chair or the color would be right. We thought it all look good when we left the store only to get home and find the color is off. So we are back to dealing with the store and see what will happen now. Great right...We have to wait til Monday to take the chair back in to recheck and say what happened to the color??
